Understand who handles your pickup.
Look for a clear business name and a straightforward explanation of who performs the service. A network can coordinate a booking while a local company handles the removal. Ask how the arriving crew is identified and where questions about the appointment should go.
PNW currently provides Portland–Vancouver pickups through JunkPDX, operated by Solely Junk LLC. Seattle and Boise are recruiting providers, with customer booking closed in both markets. Check your pickup ZIP before planning around service in a particular area.
Compare the same work.
Send the same item list and photos when comparing estimates. Include stairs, heavy items, access limits and where the items are located. A curbside furniture pickup can require different labor from removing the same furniture from an upstairs room.
Ask what the quoted range includes and which conditions could change it. Volume, weight, materials and labor affect the work. A photo range helps with planning; it should be understood alongside the final on-site scope and price.
Review the complete price before work starts.
Understand the total for the agreed items before the crew loads them. Ask about disclosed additional charges and payment terms while deciding whether to proceed. With PNW, the customer approves the final scope and price before loading.
If you add items or the work changes, review the revised scope and price before the extra work begins. Clear approval keeps the decision in your hands and gives everyone the same record of what was agreed.
Check the plan after submitting the request.
Separate a submitted request from a confirmed appointment. Check the confirmation for the arrival window, pickup details and next steps. Update the team promptly if the item list, access or timing changes.
Discuss disposal and any completion records you need before the visit. Keep the approved scope and booking details. A repeat request needs a fresh review of scope, timing and price.
For a completed PNW booking, open your private booking record and choose “Hire this company again.” Add the new items, location and preferred timing. Your provider preference is saved with the new request for dispatch. PNW checks provider eligibility, availability and current coverage. The provider must accept before the new appointment can be confirmed. If that company cannot take the pickup, PNW asks before offering another company. The request does not reserve the previous company.
Common questions
Should I choose solely by the starting price?
Compare the included items, labor, access conditions and disclosed charges as well. A starting price may describe a different amount of work from your pickup.
Will photos establish the final price?
Photos help explain the request. The actual volume, materials, weight, labor and access can affect the final on-site estimate.
How do I know the appointment is confirmed?
Review the confirmation from the booking process. A coverage check, request submission or proposed arrival window alone does not confirm a pickup.
Plan your pickup.
Current customer booking is through JunkPDX for covered Portland–Vancouver addresses. Seattle and Boise customer booking is not open yet. Check your pickup ZIP or discuss a larger project with the PNW team.
